Tips for Going Green
What are your environmental practices? How are you cutting back on energy and other resources that deplete our planet? There are many ways to cut back and implement ‘green’ practices, such as powering down computers when they are not in use or switching to low energy light bulbs or recycling. But when it comes to your marketing materials, have you given some thought about how you can cut down on your printed materials or at the very least make a switch to green printing?
Conserve Energy, Buy Less. Think before you buy. Do you really need that item? The less you buy the more you help conserve the energy it took to create it.
Print Your Projects on Recycled Paper. Switch to 100% recycled paper for as many of your printing needs as possible.
Use Soy Based Inks - Environmentally-friendlier than traditional petroleum based inks, Soy based inks help save the environment through less production of pollution and also make paper more recyclable. In addition, soy based inks offer brighter, more vibrant colors.
Give Your Motherboard A Rest. When you leave your home or turn in for the evening, turn off your computer. Computers were never built to run continuously. Extend the life of your computer by cutting it off when you’re not using it.
Recycle and Buy Recycle. Cheaper than non-recycled, buying recycled products is cost-effective, eco-friendly, and conserves energy in the long run. And when you buy recycle, don’t forget to recycle those items that you no longer use
These are just some of the steps you can do to green your business and do your part in helping to save our environment.
